Don’t Lift has won Round 3 & 4 of the Tyka PSC 2008-2009 League Season. The team performed overall really well in the first race and only in the second race some bad luck hit some of the Don’t Lift race drivers.
Timon Bolier clinched the pole after a thrilling qualification. He also managed to bring the car home for the win in the first race after a hard battle with Pablo Sixto of Olympic Motor Racing Team. Edwards who just came back from vacation had to start from the back of heat 2 tza & tzb, within 2 laps he was leading and pacing to a great 3rd place overall. McMilan who was in the same heat as Edwards also starting from the back had a great performance and came home 13th overall. B izadfar kept his head together and finished 12th, -Locutus- in 16th, Stewart in 17th followed by DJCruicky in 19th overall collecting a great set of points for Don’t Lift in race one! Unfortunately for JoseSc and Ricardo they were troubled during the race and collected a DNF.
Edwards who started from pole in race two done where he is best in. Nailing lap after lap with a thrilling pace finishing far ahead of the field and collecting his first PSC win of the season. JoseSc recovered from his frustrating first race and did a great solid drive finishing 5th. Also DJCruicky and -Locutus- showed off a great solid drive collecting good points for Don’t Lift by finishing 8th and 9th. Timon Bolier jumped the start and after collecting his drive through penalty he managed to finish in 10th. B Izadfar showed the team that he is a good assert by finishing in 13th. Stewart came home in 25th, McMilan had a unlucky second race finishing 29th and Ricardo clinched his first finish with a 37th position.

Race Reports:
Stewart “This was my first event for this league and I was rather disturbed to find myself qualify in 31st place (out of 63), a lowly spot even for me. Still, that put me 7th on the grid for race 1 in my time zone C heat.
Not much to say about race 1, good start, Inigo Otermin cut drastically across me off the line but lost time and I pulled past him before turn 1. He then had another go at me later on in the first lap but I soon managed to leave him behind and get a few other drivers who seemed to be struggling. I found myself in a comfortable 3rd to the flag (17th overall).
Race 2 wasn’t too good, good start again but then braked a touch too early into turn 1 and ended up being nudged into the kitty litter. I soon recovered and then had a solid and trouble free run to 5th position (25th overall). The only highlight was catching up to Inigo but then I ran out of laps to do anything about him. Next time… I hope with a bit more track time to haul myself higher up the grid as the league goes on.”
McMilan “After a really solid break through the field in race 1… in heat 2 I fuc…. up all (ok this won’t be in the news) and finished where I finished, plus I hit and spun marcf1, I’m very nervous to myself right now
congrats TJ and Ed for victories and all who is finished well.”
Edwards “Nice to be back after a long break, but starting so far back in 62nd place was going to be hard! Got a good start and was upto 8th from 18th after T1! P3 by the end of lap 1 and P1 by the middle of lap 2, after that it was pretty clear, apart from overtaking back markers and have a collision with one, which cost me the overall win and 2nd too
Race 2 was easy, I tried to make Cash and Tyger put me in heat 1, but they wouldn’t… So I just raced alone basically and won overall easily, very boring but at least I will be able to qualify next week and start in heat 1! Got some good points on the board, so I am quite happy with the results and the team did a nice job as well
”
Timon Bolier “I was struggling this round with the car stability vs pushing the limits. I was happy to clinch pole and my main focus for first race was to make a good start and drive from pole to finish. During the first race Pablo Sixto was giving good sustained pressure and managed to close the 1 second gap after a few mistakes of me and a good pace by him. Last 7 laps of the race we were in a heavy fight, we had two close moments under braking at the end of straight. A back marker blocking us coming out of the chicane almost cost me the lead. With all this happening valuable time was lost. I am happy with the win though, with all the pressure of Pablo Sixto and the heats finish time push in your head it’s not always easy to do every lap on limit.
Second race, the lights took forever, 2 to 3 seconds.. I released the clutch too early and jumped the start, getting a drive through. At the end of lap 3 into 4 i dove into the pits for the penalty.. I came back around p16 and managed to get up to 8th in the heat, which was 10th overall in the race results. The good news was that Pablo Sixto and Juanfran crashed out giving benefit to me and to the team in the championships, and Edwards managed to win the second race with a very smooth drive.
Don’t lift wins again both races, which is great.. also all race drivers of the team performed really well, great round for us! Congrats mates!“
